Porto Cristo Lighthouse
|
Porto Cristo |
Easy |
18 m |
The "obligatory" dive site of Porto Cristo and one of our best. It starts at a shallow depth within the bay of Sa Bocana, at about 5-6 meters and shortly after we get to Lighthouse Point where there is a fall of 10 meters to the next step at 18 meters. In the sandy bottom around boulders you could find groupers, bream and the occasional lobster in season. The return passes through an arch and a tunnel if the air permits. There is also the possibility to visit a CUEVECITAS air chamber in the same entrance at only 3 feet of depth.

Sa Ferradura
|
Porto Cristo |
Easy |
15 m |
This dive poses a surprising variety and amount of life depending on the season. It starts at the Ferradura, which is located just south of Cala Petita. Large rocks that often hide more than one number or Corvia. There are always plenty of bream around. In season, there are barracudas, especially at the Verderol arc about 100 meters from Ferradura. We go north, between the wall and the deeper sandy bottom, going from rock to rock and discovering what is hidden from us. |

The Demon's cave, or "Sa Cova Dimoni", is located just a few hundred meters north of Porto Cristo. The cave entrance is at the base of a cliff at about 6 to 10 meters. The cave consists of several chambers. From the entrance, about 8 m wide, the cave extends inward with a first chamber completely submerged about 15 m in diameter and 10 m deep. The first interior side is formed of sub-chambers and terraces attached to the wall at different levels. The second chamber is a chimney that rises up into a very shallow inner chamber. The other chamber has a length of 25 meters with an emerged part where you can surface and admire the many different formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. Maximum depth inside the chamber is 7 metres.

| Cave of Light |

The Cave of Light is located near Cave Dimoni, and is a truly attractive cave with spectacular lighting at the entrance for some amazing photos. Another point of interest is the thermocline inside the cave, with cold water flowing through the cave from a freshwater gallery. At the end of the cave you can surface at a hidden pond that is accessible by land. |
| Cueva del Pilar |

Pilar's Cave is one of the many caves in the area east of Mallorca. In fact, the cave is out of the water and possible to visit after our first dive. It is a spectacular sea cave that is open to the sea with large pillars and huge columns of stalactites and stalagmites. |
